007114 is the first car from the new car model series Regera and presented in March, 2015 during the Geneva Auto Show, together with the first Agera RS (OE-007115-Agera-RS). The chassis of those two first manufactured cars were the basis for any upgrades and the fine-tuning of the powerful Regera car model series. A very selected inner circle of persons saw or even knew about the Regera and Agera RS before their debuts in Geneva. During the Geneva Auto Show Koenigsegg lifted the secret about the new outstanding design and performance of the Regera and Agera RS and both cars were presented to the press and public. In the same year 007114 attended the Goodwood Festival of Speed (2015) in Chichester, England, United Kingdom. 007114 has been used as test-car and for marketing – see Geneva Auto Show 2015 as above described – and is since then located at the Koenigsegg® premises in Ängelholm, Sweden.

007114’s chassis received an Ice Blue high-gloss coat of varnish as well as parts in clear coated carbon / Kevlar®, all without any accents. The impressive new look starts in the front of the car with a three-piece front splitter and side-sills - manufactured in clear coated Kevlar® - and pronounced side sections that complete outstanding design of the extened bonnet with three air-inlet vents, improving the aerodynamic. The Koenigsegg Synchro-Helix Doors® are having a unique design and show a strong character line that runs from the front to the new tail section which is elongated to the car’s rear. At the tail and rear the new, top mounted and foldable active rear wing, with active independent front flaps, with active ride height and at front and at rear with active damping is manufactured with clear coated Kevlar®, whereby the wing itself is lacquered with Ice Blue high-gloss coat of varnish - completing the new, sporty and elegant appearance - and the fastenings in clear coated carbon / Kevlar®. The mainly with clear coated Kevlar® manufactured diffuser consists of fin-shaped-slats and an electric drivetrain components that needs cooling and therefore a cooling duct was concealed into, what seems to be an exhaust outlet for the combusition engine. Also integrated into the diffusor are the rear-lights with a separated and centered ‚Koenigsegg®‘ which is the braking-light illuminating while applying the brake; a centered, trapezoid shaped, titanium exhaust tailpipe with ‚Regera‘ visible on the top. 007114 is a plug-in hybrid who’s battery charge connector is located behind the licence plate holder which is motorized. Next to new applied innovations on the new car model Regera the typical double hump roof remains as a characteristic detail of the Koenigsegg design and technology. Shiny and silver coloured model names ‚Regera‘ are placed next to the rear-wheel-arches on both car sides. As shiny and silver coloured as ‚Regera‘ is the Koenigsegg® Ghost® symbol on the bonnet. A new wheel design – TRESEX AirCore Wheels® – manufactured with clear coated carbon / Kevlar® with three respectively six spokes are mounted on 007114. Three spokes emerge from the hub, dividing itself to six spokes ending at the rim. All spokes are forged in a curved style and are quite eye-catching. The Koenigsegg® Wheel Center Locking System® has a black outer edge and silver top. Carbon-ceramic brakes with copper-coloured calipers and white Koenigsegg® lettering will take care of the driver’s intention using the brake-pedal.

Koenigsegg® created with the new model Regera one oft he very first hybrid drive vehicle with enourmous power. Three electric motors are installed whereby each rear wheel one – total of 482 hp, 241 on each wheel – and the third electric motor is attached to the engine‘s crankshaft providing 215 hp. From the 5.0 liter DOHC twin-turbo combustionare 1100 hp generated. Koenigsegg® developed together with the car manufacturer RIMAC the electric drive components. One of the results is the most power-dense battery at that time, installed in road registered cars. Koenigsegg® developed the Koenigsegg Direct Drive® (KDD) which is a generator transmiting the power directly onto the roadway and resulting to an acceleration with a top speed of above 400 km/h or 249 mph and a redline at top speed of 8250 rpm, within 20 seconds to to speed. This performance is generated by an engine coupled to the final drive using a fluid coupling and together with KDD are the electric motors supplementing the combustion engine, which can be engaged at highest speed. With KDD and three electric motors a distance of 35 km or 22 miles are reachable. The battery is chargeable by regenerative braking and the internal combustion engine, of course also by a connection on the car’s rear – behind the licence plate holder. The weight of KDD and battery pack amounts to 88 kg. Peaks of power of electric motors and combustion engine are different, combining all peaks amounts to almost 1500 hp – and same number of foot pounds of torque.

Luxury and very sumptuous accomodations were implemented by Koenigsegg® into the interior of their new car model Regera and 007114 particularly. Elegant but still sporty, with finest caramel Desiato® leather covered foam seats, operated by an 8-way power adjustment system, are the very first comfortable and providing maximum support seatings in Koenigsegg®. The seats‘ upholstery is finished in finest caramel Desiato® leather with slightly darker stitchings and seams. The complete dashboard, the complete covering of the Helix-door® insides, including large shock-protection-cushions and driver’s and passenger’s assist handles are upholstered with caramel Desiato® leather. Also the upholstery of the back-panel and roof is finished in caramel Desiato® leather with the darker stitchings and seams as used on the seats. Edges in the passenger cabin are completely avoided. Round and oval shapes are continued throughout Regera‘s passenger compartment, e.g. for all instruments. The air-conditioning air-outlets have an oval shape with a cover finished in clear coated Kevlar® and framed by shiny and polished aluminum. Extending to the center of the console is a clear coated carbon section with a surface finished in brushed aluminium and dual cupholders. The steering-wheel is upholstered with caramel Desiato® leather in the center as well as most of the steering wheel’s rim at the sides; only the very top and very bottom is manufactured in clear coated Kevlar®. An airbag inside the steering-wheel as well as one for the passenger side where installed for the first time, in order to comply to U.S. regulations. Shift paddles operating the drivetrain of 007114 and selector levors are finished in a brushed aluminum.

007114 had equipped in 2022 with the Koenigsegg® Ghost Package® for improved aerodynamics as well as Air-Scoop® in 2022 which was not included actually in the Regera’s design.
