The 2010 Agera is the origin and inception of the Agera R.

We prefer not to repeat the details already presented in the description of the 2010 Agera and therefore we would like to ask the kind reader to refer also to the model information of: Agera

Agera R‘s first presentation took place again in Geneva in 2011. More hypercar than his ancestor from 2010, the top speedreached 439 km/h - 273 mph where as the acceleration from 0-100 km/h - 0-62 mph remained at 2.8 seconds.

Because of a new and adaptive rear wing producing 300 kg – 660 lb of downforce at 250km/h - 155 mph, the drag coefficient was improved.

Furthermore,the adaptive rear wing system has a unique ability to reduce the head- and tailwind because of its spring-loaded design as well as the fastening holding the wing do have a very positive effect on the Agera R’s aerodynamics, also supporting the hot air flow from the engine compartment. The adaptive rear wing system is much lighter than conventional adaptive systems.

6 world speed records for a production car were broken by the Agera R:

-      0-300 km/h - 0-186 mph in 14.53 seconds

-       0-200 mph = 17.68 sec

-       300-0 km/h = 6.66 sec

-       200-0 mph = 7.28 sec

-       0-300-0 km/h = 21.19 sec

-       0-200-0 mph = 24.96 sec

Braking from 300 km/h down to 0 km/h without holding the steering wheel, demonstrated by Koenigsegg® test driver Robert Serwanski and recorded by passenger Rob Ferretti, proves the extraordinary stability of the Ageras and was required to maintain this record of the braking performance. Lateral cornering forces of 1.60 G can be produced by Agera R because of a combination of high levels of grip from the Michelin®-Koenigsegg® development cooperation of the tyres as well as an outstanding mechanical balance of the Ageras.

Agera R received engine upgrades, improved aerodynamics and carbon fibre wheels in 2013. The Koenigsegg® Flex Fuel Sensor technology responds to fuel qualities and alcohol content and is reducing power levels in order to protect the motor, however an increase of power output on E85 biofuel.
